WTCC in Vila Real
After some speculation, Confirmation came. Vila Real will receive the WTCC.
The news was received with great enthusiasm by the population of Vila Real, thus has a circuit reinstate the calendar of international events, where the street circuit was an important proof in years 60 and 70.

The Vila Real Circuit is the third national track to enter the WTCC map, the second route city. In the city of Porto, who received the proof in 2007 and between 2009 and 2013, the Estoril Circuit has already been chosen by the organization 2008.
According to Rui Santos, president of Vila Real House : “Internationalize the Vila Real Circuit was one of the objectives of the City Council and FPAK, for years to come. The opportunity arose and not wanted to lose”.
The proof will be aparamentante guaranteed at least 3 year old: 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The driver Tiago Monteiro (Honda) is the only Portuguese to run in the WTCC, having finished last season in fifth position.
The WTCC in the town is undoubtedly the biggest sporting event to be held in the city 2015.
